KMA Insurance Agency was founded in 1978 by the Kentucky Medical Association. Its goal was to provide quality insurance to Kentucky's physicians. Today, that goal is a reality. Furthermore, KMA Insurance Agency has expanded its horizons by offering a broad array of products and services not only for physicians and other medical professionals, but for a diversity of businesses, families and individuals.

In 1997, KMA Insurance Agency was acquired by SCW Agency Group, Inc., a major independent insurance agency headquartered in East Lansing, Michigan. The alignment with SCW has positioned the agency to offer an even wider variety of insurance products and services.
